He said that Russia regrets the death of Naveen Shekharappa. During this, he said that Russia will investigate the death of a 21-year-old Indian medical student in the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv. In fact, Naveen Shekharappa Gyangoudar, a fourth year medical student at Kharkiv National Medical University, died in Kharkiv on Tuesday. Dennis has said that Russia will also work to build a “humanitarian corridor” for the safe evacuation of Indian citizens trapped in conflict zones in eastern Ukraine. According to Dennis, Russia is constantly working on building a humanitarian corridor to evacuate Indians. Along with this, Russia will also investigate the death of an Indian student in Kharkiv.

Russia is not attacking residential areas,

“I would like to express my condolences to the family of Naveen Shekharappa Gyangoudar and the entire Indian nation,” Alipov said at a media briefing.

Not only this, he said that Russia will do everything possible to ensure the safety of Indian citizens in areas of intense conflict . Along with this, a proper investigation will be done into this unfortunate incident. “We are in touch with Indian authorities regarding citizens of India in Kharkiv, Sumi and other regions,” he said.

Russia appreciates Indian stand

Russia also appreciated India’s stand in the United Nations. Alipov thanked India for the “fair and balanced” position adopted by the country at the United Nations during the recent meetings on the situation in Ukraine. “We are a strategic partner with India, we are very grateful for India’s balanced position in the United Nations… and we hope that will continue,” he said.

Earlier on Tuesday night, Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla said that Naveen’s body has been identified and taken to the university morgue. Indian officials are in touch with the local administration in Kharkiv so that the body can be brought back.
