Mumbai Police Arrest Ghaziabad Resident in Connection with Salman Khan’s House Shooting Incident

  • Accused Allegedly Booked Cab in Name of Notorious Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi

Ghaziabad: In a significant development related to the recent shooting incident at Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s residence, Mumbai Police have apprehended a resident of Ghaziabad, Rohit Tyagi, in Govindpuram, Ghaziabad. This arrest comes amidst heightened tensions and speculations surrounding the case.

The incident unfolded on Friday when Mumbai Police, operating in collaboration with local authorities, detained Rohit Tyagi in connection with a bizarre episode involving the booking of a cab. Tyagi, a student pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree, was reportedly unaware of the implications of his actions.

Assistant Commissioner of Police, Kavi Nagar, Abhishek Srivastava shed light on the case, explaining that recent threats made by notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi against Salman Khan had put the police on high alert. In a bid to ensure the safety of the actor and preempt any potential threats, authorities had been closely monitoring all related activities.

It was revealed during the investigation that a cab, booked under the name of Lawrence Bishnoi, had been dispatched to Salman Khan’s residence. However, the intended recipient of the cab booking turned out to be Rohit Tyagi, a mere fan of the Bollywood star.

Upon learning of the misunderstanding, Tyagi’s family and acquaintances rushed to the police station to secure his release. Additionally, security personnel stationed at Salman Khan’s residence promptly informed the police about the arrival of the cab driver, further facilitating the resolution of the situation.

However, it is crucial to note that preliminary inquiries have absolved Rohit Tyagi of any malicious intent or association with Lawrence Bishnoi. Tyagi’s actions were solely driven by his admiration for Salman Khan, with no ulterior motives involved.

While the immediate focus remains on clarifying the misunderstanding and securing Tyagi’s release, Mumbai Police will continue to investigate the broader context of the incident, including the recent threats made against Salman Khan. Efforts will be made to ensure the safety and security of all involved parties, with strict vigilance maintained in light of recent events.

This episode adds another layer to the ongoing investigation into the shooting incident at Salman Khan’s house, which occurred last Sunday when unidentified assailants on a motorcycle fired shots at the actor’s residence. While the suspected shooters were apprehended shortly after the incident, suspicions have arisen regarding the possible involvement of the Bishnoi gang.

Lawrence Bishnoi’s name has been linked to the incident following a Facebook post allegedly made by Anmol Bishnoi, Lawrence’s younger sibling, claiming responsibility for the attack.

As the case progresses, authorities urge the public to refrain from jumping to conclusions and await the outcome of the ongoing investigation.
