Army Chief Said Transformational Reforms In The Armed Forces Continue;

New Delhi : Army Chief General Manoj Pandey on Saturday said that transformational reforms are underway in areas such as human resource management and capacity development in the armed forces under self-reliant India. He was addressing a Joint Graduation Parade (CGP) at the Air Force Academy in Dundigal here.

Addressing the officer cadets at the Academy, he said that the security canvas of India is vast, complex, and multifaceted. Our active borders, as well as internal security, require a high level of operational preparedness. He said that disruptive technologies are shaping the character of modern warfare.

General Pandey said that emerging technologies like artificial intelligence, quantum computing, robotics, and hypersonics are no longer confined to theory but can be clearly seen on the battlefields. So using and taking advantage of technology is no longer an option but a necessity.

Young officers will be the pioneers to lead the change

He said that transformational reforms are underway in areas like human resource management and capacity development in the armed forces. The focus is on self-reliant India. The Army Chief further said that the young officers would be the pioneers to lead the changes. He encouraged the passing-out officers to acquire more and more knowledge. He said that it is the utmost duty of every officer of the Armed Forces to imbibe the qualities of leadership. Simultaneously, the Army Chief said that India’s security canvas is vast, complex, and multifaceted. Our sensitive borders and equally challenging internal security threats require a very high level of operational preparedness.
