Uttar Pradesh Teams Shine at the 42nd Junior National Shooting Ball Championship

Jaipur: The 42nd Junior National Shooting Ball Championship was held from October 6 to 8, 2023, at the Sawai Man Singh Stadium in Jaipur, Rajasthan. The competition witnessed intense rivalry among junior boys and girls, and Uttar Pradesh emerged as the runners-up in both categories.

In the boys’ category, Punjab secured the first position, followed by Uttar Pradesh in the second place, Haryana in third, and Rajasthan in fourth. The girls’ category saw Maharashtra clinching the top spot, Uttar Pradesh securing the second position, Delhi claiming the third, and Rajasthan finishing fourth.

The championship witnessed participation from numerous young and talented shooters, showcasing their skills and determination in the field of shooting sports.

Several dignitaries graced the National Championship with their presence, including former Sports Minister of India and Olympic medalist Colonel Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, Ravi Tomar, Secretary-General of the Shooting Ball Association of India, Anjul Agrawal, President of the Shooting Ball Federation of India, Ajay Pal, President of the Shooting Ball Association of Uttar Pradesh, and Jeetraj Tomar, Secretary-General of the same organization.

Dr. Anil Agrawal, Member of Parliament, congratulated the Uttar Pradesh teams for their impressive performance in the national competition. The championship provided young talents with an excellent platform to display their skills and compete at a national level.
