UP Govt 2022: The Rise Of Asim Arun, IPS officer to get berth in UP Cabinet

Lucknow (NewsReach) : Asim Arun former police commissioner in Kanpur Commissionerate and now minister of state (independent charge) in the state government. Asim a resident of Kannauj, had taken VRS sometime back from the post of police commissioner of Kanpur. Subsequently, he contested the UP assembly elections this year from the Kannauj Sadar seat on a BJP ticket. He defeated three-time Samajwadi Party MLA Anil Dohre to win the constituency by over 6,000 votes, which was considered a bastion of the Yadavs— the core vote bank of the SP. He defeated the three-time Samajwadi Party MLA Anil Dohre to win the seat . He has been rewarded with an independent charge in Yogi 2.0 cabinet.

Disaster not only brings difficulties, but if there is courage, it also opens the way for opportunities. This is what seems to be happened to Asim Arun, He got the recognition of his disaster management done successfully during the Prime Minister Narendra Modi Kanpur visit.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rally was on December at Kanpur. He had to reach there via air for all the programs, but the weather turned bad at the last moment. The Commissionerate Police had to hurriedly decide to take the Prime Minister by road. Even inside the IITs, he was introduced to the students with full security protocol on the wishes of the Prime Minister.

Even during Prime Minister’s return his special aircraft could not take off due to bad weather. In such a situation, the only way left was to take the Prime Minister from Kanpur to Lucknow airport by road. During this then Police Commissioner Asim Arun made safe arrangements for the Prime Minister to go to Lucknow by road. His disaster management and leadership qualities were appreciated all over the country.
