With the announcement of the dates on 8 February 2022 by the Election Commission, the assembly elections of Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Goa and Manipur were held. Which came to an end in UP on March 7, 2022, with the seventh phase of voting. The results of five states will come on March 10. But before that, the trends and seats are being estimated from the first open poll. In these states, everyone’s eyes are on the results of Uttar Pradesh. The condition and direction of the 2024 elections will be decided only by the results of this state, which has sent the maximum number of MPs to the Lok Sabha. That is why it is being considered as the semi-final of power before the 2024 general elections.

Whose government in UP ?

In most of the exit polls in Uttar Pradesh, the BJP government in UP seems to be formed again. According to Jan Ki Baat exit poll, BJP can get 222 to 260 seats in UP. SP can get 135 to 165 seats in its account. BSP can get 4 to 9 seats. Congress can get 1 to 3 seats. In the account of others, 3 to 4 seats can go.

India TV exit polls have predicted 211 to 225 seats for the BJP alliance in UP. The SP alliance is expected to get 146-160 seats. Apart from this, BSP can get 14 to 24 seats, Whereas Congress seems to be getting only 4 to 6 seats.

According to the exit polls of News24 and Chanakya, the BJP can form a government with an absolute majority in Uttar Pradesh with 294 seats. On the other hand, Samajwadi Party is seen getting 105 seats. Talking about Bahujan Samaj Party, this time also the performance of Mayawati’s party is not doing well in Uttar Pradesh. They seem to be getting two seats. Congress is seen losing one seat while in the account of others as well.

Aaj Tak Axis My India exit polls suggest that the BJP is returning to power in Uttar Pradesh with a thumping majority. BJP can get success between 288 to 326 seats. While Samajwadi Party will be successful in winning 71 to 101 seats, 3 to 9 seats will go to BSP’s account. While Congress seems to be winning 1 to 3 seats, 2 to 3 seats can go in the account of others.

ABP C Voter According to this, BJP can get 228 to 244 seats, while Samajwadi Party is seen getting 132 to 148 seats. 13 to 21 seats can go in the account of BSP, while Congress is seen getting reduced to 4 to 8 seats, others have 2 to 6 seats in their account.

2017 assembly election results

Elections were held in 7 phases for 403 assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh. In the midst of mutual discord between the SP, contested the elections in alliance with the Congress. The BSP was alone in the field. The BJP fought the elections in alliance with smaller parties like Apna Dal and Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party. The first phase of the 2017 assembly elections in UP was held on 11 February, the second phase on 15 February and the third phase on 19 February. While the fourth, fifth and sixth phases were completed on 23, 27 February and 4 March respectively. The last phase of polling was held on March 8. NDA got 324 seats in the assembly elections. Of these, BJP alone won 311 seats, while Apna Dal (Sonelal) won 9 seats and Bharatiya Suheldev Samaj Party got 4 seats. SP-Congress alliance on 54, BSP on 19 and 6 seats went to others.
