Russia Ukraine war: Government of India made a special plan to bring back Indians trapped in Ukraine, Ministry of External Affairs issued advisory

The Government of India has prepared a plan for the citizens trapped in Ukraine . The Ministry of External Affairs said that helpline numbers are being issued. At the same time, alternative arrangements are being worked out. The Ministry of External Affairs has announced that they have set up a control room in New Delhi due to the current situation in Ukraine and the control room will provide information and assistance to all the stranded Indian nationals who want to come back.

In order to provide maximum assistance to Indian nationals stranded in Ukraine, the Ministry of External Affairs has expanded its control room in India and made it operational on a 24×7 basis. India is focusing on measures to help its citizens, especially students, from the eastern European country, amid fears of a major conflict as Russian President Vladimir Putin launches military operations against Ukraine.

Ministry of External Affairs issued advisory order of entry by road
The Foreign Ministry said that by road, entry should be made to other countries bordering Ukraine. The Government of India will talk to other countries that without VISA, they should be allowed to come to those countries only on Indian passport. India did the same in the nineties during the Kuwait crisis. At the same time, other options have also being discussed. At present, the air route is not possible. Russia in the east, Belarus in the north and Black Sea in the south are now becoming a possible options.

The Indian Embassy in Kiev issued a notification asking students stranded in Ukraine to stay safe and return to their homes, hostels or residences. In view of the increasing uncertainties, Indian citizens have been asked to stay indoors and avoid travelling. Students traveling to Kiev have been asked to return to their respective cities, especially the western border countries. He has been asked to stay away from the Ukrainian capital, Kiev, after facing heavy military action.
