Project To Revive The Legacy Of 112 Years Old Prem Mahavidyalaya

Mathura : Religare Group is going to initiate a project to revive and revitalize the legacy of Prem Mahavidyalaya. Maharaja Mahendra Pratap Singh started Prem Mahavidyalaya 112 years ago. This educational institution is in a pilgrimage center associated with religious reverence. Over time, the building that was once luxurious became weak and dilapidated. Religare Group has resolved to develop an institution equipped with all necessary amenities for the benefit of the students.

Raja Ji donated the palace in 1909. Raja Ji donated it to make it an educational institution. Indian freedom fighters like Mahatma Gandhi, Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore, Lala Lajpat Rai, and Madan Mohan Malviya visited this institute. In its heyday, it was considered a premium educational institution. This palace became a source of inspiration for many freedom fighters in the freedom struggle of India. During British rule, it became the gathering place of freedom fighters.

Religare Group is now once again trying to bring back the old dignity of Prem Mahavidyalaya Inter College. Apart from classrooms, the group is helping in the construction of facilities like library, science lab, computer lab, auditorium, staff room, administrative office, etc. The Treasury, Rajaji’s room, and basement will be converted into a museum. This will give visitors an insight into the visionary founder Maharaja Mahendra Pratap Singh. The personal impression of the founder will be seen in the said area.

The group has pledged to provide financial assistance for this project. At the same time today, the construction activities started with Bhoomi Pujan on the premises of the institute in Mathura. Kaushal Maharaj, Mathura DM Navneet Chahal, DCP Brijendra Yadav, UP Braj Teerth Vikas Parishad Vice-Chairperson Dr. Manjari Mishra and Dr. Shailja Kant Mishra, State Tax Department Special Secretary Sarvgya Mishra, Dr. Lalit Bihari Goswami (Brij Shiksha) Kayakalp) and MVDA VC Nagendra Pratap formally launched the project. Religare seeks to inculcate a sense of pride among the student community of India about the rich academic heritage of our country. The revitalization initiative of Prem Mahavidyalaya is part of efforts to develop India’s educational centers and re-establish them in the country’s illustrious academic history.
