Ghaziabad: A young woman’s life was tragically cut short in Ghaziabad on Monday night, leaving a community in shock and highlighting the devastating impact of grief. 23-year-old Anjali ended her life by jumping from the balcony of her seventh-floor apartment in Ahlcon Apartments, Vaishali, just hours after her husband, Abhishek, unexpectedly passed away from a heart attack.
The couple, who had only been married for three months, had spent Monday enjoying a day out at Delhi’s Chidiyaghar zoo. However, their afternoon turned into a nightmare when Abhishek suffered chest pain. Anjali rushed him to GTB Hospital and then to Safdarjung Hospital for further treatment. Unfortunately, Abhishek succumbed to his heart attack upon arriving home.
According to Assistant Commissioner of Police Swatantra Singh, Anjali, overwhelmed by grief, locked herself in her room after returning home from the hospital with Abhishek’s mother and sister-in-law. Shortly after, a security guard alerted the family after hearing a noise, only to discover Anjali had jumped from the balcony. Despite immediate medical attention, she succumbed to her injuries the following morning.
