Mastermind Behind Industrialist’s Abduction and Robbery Nabbed; Cash Worth 10 Lakhs Recovered
Ghaziabad: In a significant breakthrough, the Crime Branch of Ghaziabad Police successfully apprehended Sunil, the mastermind behind a daring abduction and robbery case in the industrial sector of Kavinagar. Sunil, son of Mamchand and resident of Gram Kathikheda, Thana Hapur, District Hapur, was arrested on December 23, 2023, near I.M.S. College, Lal Kuan Chowk.
The crime unfolded when a gang led by Sunil abducted Nishant, a businessman from Indrapuram, and confined him in a car. The criminals demanded a ransom for his release, making him a victim of their sinister plan.
Acting on a tip-off, the Crime Branch, under the leadership of SWAT Team Commissionerate, Ghaziabad Police, conducted a successful operation and arrested Sunil. During the operation, a cash amounting to 10 lakhs was recovered, which was believed to be part of the ransom.
Sunil’s nephew and the desired accused, Sukhvir Singh Bhati, son of Late Ishwar Singh and resident of Gram Shyamnagar, Mandi Deota Road, Thana Dankaur, District Gautam Buddh Nagar, aged approximately 48 years, was also taken into custody during the operation.
The arrest of Sunil and Sukhvir Singh Bhati marks a crucial step in bringing the perpetrators of this heinous crime to justice. The police are currently investigating further to unveil any potential connections and motives behind the abduction and robbery.
