KDP Grand Savana Residents Up in Arms After Society Helper Attacked by Stray Dogs

Ghaziabad: Residents of KDP Grand Savana Society in Rajnagar Extension are fuming after a society helper, Parmila, was attacked by a pack of stray dogs for 15-20 minutes on June 21st. The incident occurred in the basement under Block A, where Parmila was sent by her supervisor for work.
Residents allege that the dog menace has been a recurring problem in the society. They claim some dog lovers regularly feed strays in the basement, which has become a haven for the animals. On one hand, some residents, out of kindness, regularly feed strays in the basement, creating an unintended food source that attracts more dogs. This well-meaning act, however, clashes with the safety concerns of other residents. The lack of security personnel in the basement has further exacerbated the issue.

Frustration is mounting as residents hold the Apartment Owners Association (AOA) responsible for the incident. They criticize the AOA for failing to address the shortage of security guards and for not taking any corrective action despite previous dog bite incidents.
In response to the attack on Parmila, residents have lodged a complaint with the Station House Officer (SHO) of Nandgram police station. They are demanding immediate intervention from the administration and police to control the stray dog population in the society. Additionally, they have urged the AOA to bear Parmila’s medical expenses.
As of filing this report, residents remain agitated and are holding a protest demanding action from the AOA and authorities. This story is developing, and we will provide further updates as they become available.
