IPL Schedule 2022: Watch The Full Schedule Of IPL 2022, MS Dhoni Will Clash With Shreyas Iyer In The First Match

The 15th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will begin with the match between defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Wankhede Stadium on March 26.

IPL 2022 will start from 26th March and will end on 29th May. This time a total of 10 teams are participating in this tournament and 70 league matches will be played. Now the BCCI has announced the full schedule of IPL 2022, according to which the first match of this season will be played between Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders on 26 March at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. This season, 70 league matches and four playoff matches will be played within 65 days.

The 10 teams participating in this season have been divided into two groups. Mumbai Indians, Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals, Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants have been placed in Group A while Chennai Super Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Punjab Kings, and Gujarat Titans have been placed in Group B. . Each team has to play 14 matches in this season, in which five teams have to play two matches each and four teams have to play one match.

This time four stadiums have been selected for league matches in which three stadiums are in Mumbai while one stadium is in Pune. In this season, two matches are to be organized on several days. It will start on 27th March i.e. on this day the first double heel match of this season will be played. While the Maharashtra government has said that 25 percent of the spectators will be allowed to watch the match, the venue of the play-off matches has not been announced yet.

BCCI secretary Jay Shah said, “A total of 70 league matches and four play-off matches will be played in 65 days.” There will be 12 double headers (two matches in a day) in the tournament and on these days the first match will start at 3.30 pm and the evening match will start at 7.30 pm. The first double header will be held on March 27 in which the match of the day will be between Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians. Then in the evening, Punjab Kings will face Royal Challengers Bangalore. The first match will be played in Pune on March 29 in which Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals will face each other. The BCCI said that the schedule for the playoffs and final will be announced later.
