In 2013, the SP government took back 14 cases related to terrorist attacks, these facts are astonishing.

The BJPs allegation of the SP taking a soft corner towards the accused of terror attack is not completely baseless. During the Akhilesh Yadav government in 2013, 14 cases related to terror attacks in seven districts were simultaneously withdrawn. However, in some cases, after the court refused, the accused were sentenced to 20 years.

On the other hand, the result of Prime Minister Narendra Modis policy of zero tolerance against terrorism is that after 2017 terrorists have not been successful in committing crimes anywhere except in Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and Northeast India. Not only this, Jammu and Kashmir, Northeast and Naxalite areas have also seen a significant reduction in terrorist violence during the Modi government.

Of the 14 cases that were withdrawn by the Akhilesh government, six were from Lucknow and three from Kanpur. Apart from this, Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Bijnor, Rampur and Barabanki had one case each. The Varanasi case, which was withdrawn on March 5, 2013, pertained to the serial bomb blasts at Sankat Mochan Temple and Railway Station Cantt on March 7, 2006.

An explosive clock fitted in a pressure cooker was also found at Dashashwamedh Ghat. 28 people were killed in this terrorist attack and more than 101 people were injured. The main accused in this is Shamim Ahmed, associated with the terrorist organization Huji. Although the matter is pending in the court despite the withdrawal of the case.

Similarly, on May 20, 2007, the state government withdrew the serial blasts at Baldev Plaza, Jarkal Building and Ganesh Chauraha in Gorakhpur. However, the court refused to consider the order of the government and later the culprits were sentenced to 20 years rigorous imprisonment. At the same time, in many cases, the court accepted the decision of the government and ended the case and the accused were completely acquitted.

Narendra Modi as the Chief Minister of Gujarat and later as the Prime Minister maintained the policy of zero tolerance against terrorism. The result of this has come to the fore in the form of death penalty to 38 terrorists associated with the jihadi terrorist network spread across several states involved in the Ahmedabad blasts. The active role of the Gujarat Police later helped to eliminate jihadi terror networks across the country.

Barring Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and Northeast India, where terrorism and separatism have old roots, terrorists had created a large network in other parts of the country. Between 2004 and 2014, there were frequent terrorist attacks in Ayodhya, Jaunpur, Varanasi, Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Jaipur and Pune, in which thousands of people lost their lives.

In 2013, 25 people were killed and 236 injured in four terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and other parts outside Northeast India. At the same time, four people were killed and 18 were injured in six terror attacks in 2014 after Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister. In 2015, the number dropped to 13 and four, in 2016 to 11 and 20 and in 2017 to another nine. The biggest thing is that after 2018, not a single terrorist attack took place and no one died.
