Dramatic Car Chase Ends with Arrest: Police Crack Down on Road Rage Incident

Ghaziabad: In a heart-pounding incident that unfolded in the streets of Indirapuram, a suburb near Delhi, a car driver rammed into a pedestrian on Sunday. Shockingly, instead of stopping, the driver continued on, with the victim clinging to the car’s bonnet for nearly three kilometers. The harrowing ordeal was captured on video and has since gone viral on social media.

According to Assistant Police Commissioner Swatantra Kumar Singh, the victim, identified as Ramesh Singh, was struck by a car driven by a man named Tarang Jain. Despite Singh falling onto the car’s bonnet, Jain didn’t halt but instead accelerated, causing Singh to desperately hang on to avoid further harm. However, some passersby, alarmed by the unfolding scene, pursued Jain’s car and forced him to stop, ultimately saving Singh’s life. Notably, they also gave Jain a few punches before handing him over to the police.

The police clarified that this incident was a case of road rage. It began when the vehicles belonging to Ramesh Singh and Tarang Jain collided with each other. After the collision, Singh got out of his vehicle and confronted Jain, who responded aggressively by hitting Singh with his car and then driving off.

Tarang Jain, identified as the perpetrator, works for a private company. He has been arrested and charged with multiple offenses, including attempted murder and reckless driving.
