Brave Showdown: Looter Injured and Apprehended After Confrontation in Ghaziabad
Ghaziabad: In a dramatic turn of events, the Masuri Police had a fierce encounter with a gang of wanted criminals who were on a spree of robberies. During the confrontation, one of the assailants was injured and subsequently apprehended, while another managed to escape, leaving behind a stolen motorcycle, illegal weapons, and a looted mobile phone.
The incident unfolded on the evening of October 28, 2023, when the Assistant Police Commissioner of Masuri instructed the Masuri Police team to track down a group of robbers who had been looting commuters traveling through the rough roads from Matiala village to Sikroda Nai Avadi in Ghaziabad. The daring criminals had a history of robbing passengers from auto-rickshaws, particularly in the Mayapuri area of Indiragadhi, Masuri.
The Masuri Police, under the supervision of the Station House Officer, initiated their pursuit along the risky route, which eventually led to a high-stakes confrontation. During the face-off, one of the wanted criminals, identified as Bobby, also known as Balbir, son of Vikram, residing in Dharmkanta Wali Gali, Mayapuri, Indiragadhi, sustained a gunshot wound to his leg. He was subsequently captured by the police, while his accomplice, Jeetu, also known as Jitendra, a resident of Mislagrahi Andheri, managed to flee the scene.
The accused individuals were under investigation for their alleged involvement in a series of crimes, including the audacious robbery of a young woman from an auto-rickshaw on October 27, 2023. The injured looter, Bobby, is now under medical care and in police custody, providing critical leads on their criminal history and associates.
This encounter highlights the relentless efforts of the Masuri Police to maintain law and order in the region, ultimately making the streets safer for the public. Investigations are ongoing to apprehend the remaining suspect, Jeetu, and to determine the full extent of the criminals’ activities in the area.
