Uttarakhand Exit Polls 2022: Predictions show neck-and-neck fight between BJP and Congress In Hung Uttarakhand

Several poll agencies today released their exit poll results for the Uttarakhand Assembly Elections 2022. While a majority of them predicted an edge for the ruling BJP, some of them predicted a return of the congress. The state voted in a single phase on February 14 and recorded an average turnout of 65.4 per cent. A total of 632 candidates, including 62 women, are in fray for the 70 assembly seats in Uttarakhand.

The trend of changing the government in five years

In Uttarakhand, people disown their disillusionment with the government every five years. This is the reason that since the formation of the state in 2002, assembly elections have been held here four times. Every time a different government has been formed. Congress formed the government here in 2002. In 2007, BJP formed the government in 2012, Congress in 2012 and BJP in 2017. In Uttarakhand, the BJP had won 57 out of 70 seats in 2017. On the other hand, Congress had won 11 seats. While the Independent got 2 seats in its account.

What does this time’s exit poll say?

According to the exit poll of ABP C Voter, Congress is getting 32 to 38 seats in Uttarakhand. Whereas BJP is expected to get 26 to 32 seats, Aam Aadmi Party 0 to 2 and others 3 to 7 seats. Today Chanakya has given 43 seats to BJP. Congress has estimated 24 and others 3 seats in their account.
