Widespread Outrage in Ghaziabad Over Pahalgam Terror Attack; VHP and Bajrang Dal Burn Effigy of ‘Islamic Jihad’

Ghaziabad, April 23, 2025: In a strong show of protest and grief, members of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal, Ghaziabad Mahanagar, gathered today to condemn the brutal killing of Hindus in Pahalgam, Kashmir. The protest, held in the heart of the city, saw the symbolic burning of an effigy of ‘Islamic Jihad’ as a mark of outrage against what they called a “barbaric and targeted attack on Hindu identity.”
According to reports cited during the protest, 29 people have lost their lives in the incident, which involved alleged terrorists identifying Hindu victims by their religion before executing them. Victims were reportedly forced to recite religious verses and then shot at point-blank range, a chilling reminder of the dark days of terrorism that gripped Kashmir in the 1990s.
Alok Garg, President of the VHP Ghaziabad Mahanagar, in his impassioned address, stated, “This is not just a terror attack; it is a direct assault on the existence and dignity of the Hindu community. The nature of this massacre is proof that these were not indiscriminate killings – Hindus were specifically targeted.”
He further added, “This incident is not merely an act of terrorism but tantamount to a declaration of war by Pakistan against India. The country is in deep pain, and the Hindu community across the nation is boiling with anger.”
Garg also criticized those who claim that terrorism has no religion. “This attack clearly shows otherwise,” he said, demanding that the government take decisive and immediate action to root out terrorism from Kashmir and ensure the complete dismantling of terror networks operating in the Valley.
The protest was attended by several prominent figures from Ghaziabad, including:
- Shri Dhurendra Ji, RSS Mahanagar Sanghchalak
- Shri Vinay Kakkar, Shri Pawan Agarwal,
- Sahil Walia, Departmental Organizing Secretary
- Mudit Sharma, Naveen Gautam, Nikhil Tyagi, Amit Tyagi, Ashwini Sharma
- Business leader Shri Bal Kishan (Balu Bhai)
- Dr. Captain Subodh Gupta, Shri Ambika Prasad Bhardwaj (Retd. DSP)
- Sandeep Bansal, Sanjeev Mittal, Dr. Rajeev Goyal, and Dr. Surendra Gupta, among others.
The gathering ended with a strong resolution calling on the central government to act swiftly and surgically against the perpetrators and their sponsors, ensuring the Valley is free from fear and violence.
As tension simmers, voices from across the spectrum continue to demand justice for the victims and assert that India will not tolerate targeted killings on its soil.
