Tragedy in Ghaziabad: Two Brothers Lose Lives in Loni Fire Incident
Ghaziabad: In a heart-wrenching incident in the Loni area of Ghaziabad, two young brothers lost their lives in a house fire. The tragic incident occurred in Prashant Vihar, where the family had lit mosquito-repellent incense sticks before going to bed. The fire broke out late at night, engulfing the house in flames. By the time the family and neighbors could control the blaze, both children had suffered severe burns. One of the brothers died on the spot, while the other succumbed to his injuries in the hospital.
According to the police, the fire erupted at around 2:30 AM, causing chaos and devastation in the household. The father, Neeraj, shared the harrowing details of the incident, explaining that he and his wife were sleeping in the outer room while their two sons, Aansh and Arun, were in the inner room. “There was a power outage, so I went to the nearby shop to buy mosquito-repellent incense sticks,” Neeraj recounted. “We lit the incense sticks in the children’s room to ward off mosquitoes, not knowing it would lead to such a disaster.”


When the fire broke out, thick smoke filled the house, making it impossible to breathe or see clearly. Neeraj and his wife managed to escape to safety but soon realized that their children were still trapped inside. Despite desperate attempts by neighbors and family members to douse the flames, the room was heavily charred by the time they reached the children. Both Aansh and Arun were found lifeless, their bodies burned beyond recognition.
The incident has left the family and the local community in shock. The grief-stricken parents are inconsolable, and neighbors have expressed deep sorrow over the loss. The tragic death of the two young boys has cast a shadow of mourning over Prashant Vihar.
The Loni Police reached the spot immediately after receiving information about the incident. Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire and have urged residents to exercise caution with inflammable items, especially during power outages.
