Terror Alert: ATS Busts Illegal Bangladeshi Ring with Counterfeit Documents

Meerut: The Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) Meerut Unit has apprehended four Bangladeshi nationals residing illegally in India, along with counterfeit documents and other items.
It has been reported that on 3rd June 2023, during the investigation of suspicious individuals in the Kharkhoda Police Station area by the ATS Meerut Unit, based on information from an informant, four Bangladeshi nationals/suspects were arrested. The arrested individuals are identified as:
- Sojib Khan, son of Mohammad Mojjim Khan, resident of Gram Gosai Badi, Thana Ghoonur, District Babura, Bangladesh.
- Mou. Majidul Khan, son of Mou. Azimuddin, resident of Gram Dakhin Titpara, Thana Dimala, District Nilphamari, Bangladesh.
- Mou. Montu Khan, son of Mou. Azimuddin, resident of Gram Dakhin Titpara, Thana Dimala, District Nilphamari, Bangladesh.
- Mojjem Khan, son of Late Anisur Khan, resident of Gram Chuniyawada, Post Gosai Badi, District Bogra, Bangladesh.

During the arrest near Chaudhary Iron Store, Hapur Meerut Road, Dheerkheda, the following counterfeit documents belonging to Indian nationals were seized from the suspects: Indian Aadhaar cards, PAN cards, and bank account details. The suspects were working in a footwear factory located in Gram Dheerkheda, Thana Kharkhoda, District Meerut.
In connection with the arrests, a case has been registered at Kharkhoda Police Station under sections 120B, 419, 420, 467, 468, 471 of the Indian Penal Code, as well as Section 14 of the Foreigners Act. Legal proceedings are underway, and all four suspects will be presented before the court.
