Students Celebrate Earth Day with Plantation Drive at DAV Public School, Pratap Vihar

Pratap Vihar, Ghaziabad: In a heartfelt celebration of Earth Day, DAV Public School in Pratap Vihar transformed its campus into a symbol of hope and sustainability through a special plantation drive. Organized under the banner of Catalyst – The Innovation Club, the initiative brought together over 60 students from grades 6 to 9 with a shared mission — to nurture the planet and spark environmental consciousness among the youth.
With saplings in hand and purpose in heart, the students planted a variety of trees and plants within the school premises. The activity was more than symbolic — it served as a practical step toward greener surroundings and a cleaner future. Each seed planted echoed the message: “A greener tomorrow begins today.”
Principal Dr. Sinny Malhotra praised the students and the Innovation Club for their initiative. “Just thinking about the environment isn’t enough,” she said. “We must take small but consistent actions to protect it. Planting trees is one of the simplest yet most impactful things we can do.”
She also encouraged students to become “environment warriors” in their daily lives, emphasizing that as the roots of the trees grow deeper, so will the students’ understanding of harmony, growth, and the importance of sustainable change.
The Earth Day drive not only cultivated plants but also sowed the seeds of ecological awareness and responsibility among young minds, marking it as a meaningful and successful campaign in the school’s journey towards a greener future.
