St. Joseph Academy Student Yug Dabas Qualifies for National Yogasana Championship

Ghaziabad : Bringing pride to his school and city, Yug Dabas, a student of St. Joseph Academy, Ghaziabad, has secured a silver medal in the 6th State Yogasana Championship 2025 held in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh from July 11 to 14, and has qualified for the National Yogasana Championship.

The event, organized by the Uttar Pradesh Yogasana Sports Association, witnessed participation from over 250 young athletes across the state. Competing in the junior boys’ category (14–18 years) in the traditional yogasana discipline, Yug stood out among 50–60 participants in his group to clinch the second position.

Yug’s yoga and sports teacher Mr. Amardeep shared that this is not his first major appearance — the young talent had earlier participated in the CISCE National Yogasana Championship and is currently also selected for the CISCE State-level Yogasana contest.

From St. Joseph Academy, four students had given trials for this year’s championship, but Yug was the only one selected to represent the school at the state level — and now, at the national level.

The school’s Principal, Father Moisus, and Vice Principal, Father Sabu, congratulated Yug on his remarkable achievement and wished him continued success in the national arena.

With his consistent performance and dedication, Yug Dabas has become an inspiration for fellow students and a promising name in the future of Yogasana sports.
