Smriti Irani’s ‘New Thinking, New Stories’ Radio Series Spotlights ‘Vikasit Bharat Yatra

Ghaziabad Mayor Sunita Dayal Shares Development Initiatives in Interaction with Union Minister

New Delhi: In a unique initiative, Union Minister Smriti Irani’s weekly radio program, “New Thinking, New Stories,” featured an episode dedicated to the ‘Vikasit Bharat Yatra’ (Developed India Journey) campaign. The program, broadcasted on All India Radio, seeks to explore various topics and ideas, bringing a fresh perspective to the listeners.

During the episode, Smriti Irani engaged in a conversation with Sunita Dayal, the Mayor of Ghaziabad, discussing the ongoing ‘Vikasit Bharat Yatra.’ The Mayor shared insights into the journey, praising the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in reaching every village and every home through this initiative.

Mayor Sunita Dayal highlighted the impact of the campaign in Ghaziabad, where 66 locations have been earmarked for the ‘Vikasit Bharat Yatra’ programs until January 24. Of the 28 events already conducted, approximately 22,000 people have actively participated, with around 8,000 individuals benefiting directly from the initiatives. The campaign spans 17 departments, with 17 schemes designed to provide benefits to the citizens.

In response to Smriti Irani’s question about how one would describe a developed India, Mayor Sunita Dayal shared a remarkable achievement. She mentioned that Ghaziabad is proud to have the country’s first Rapid Rail, a realization of a developed India that was once unimaginable.

The episode conveyed the enthusiasm of various sections of society, including women, men, youth, and children, actively participating in the ‘Vikasit Bharat Yatra.’ Mayor Dayal highlighted activities such as fostering creativity in children and distributing toys, showcasing the multifaceted approach of the campaign.

In closing, Smriti Irani expressed admiration for the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the collective commitment to transforming India into a fully developed nation by 2047. The ‘Vikasit Bharat Yatra’ continues to gain momentum, with citizens pledging their support and sharing their stories under the ‘Meri Kahani, Meri Zubani’ (My Story, My Words) segment.
