Sex Racket Busted at Sarovar Portico Hotel in Ghaziabad, 11 Women Rescued, Three Arrested

Ghaziabad : In a major crackdown on organised prostitution, the police on Wednesday busted a high-profile sex racket operating from Sarovar Portico, Kaushambi, rescuing 11 women and arresting three accused, including the hotel manager.
The operation was carried out by the Indirapuram circle police and the Kaushambi police station team following a tip-off received through the Dial-112 emergency helpline. The information indicated that women were being called to hotel rooms and forced into organised prostitution.
Acting swiftly, a police team conducted a late-night raid at the hotel premises, where several men and women were found in objectionable conditions. Some customers were also reportedly seen waiting outside rooms at the time of the raid. A large quantity of objectionable material and illegal substances was recovered from the spot.
According to the police, the arrested accused have been identified as hotel manager Rahul Sharma and two facilitators — Ankit Chauhan and Sunil — who allegedly acted as intermediaries and coordinated clients.

Foreign women spotted in CCTV footage
Confirming the action, Abhishek Srivastava, Assistant Commissioner of Police (Indirapuram), said that the women were allegedly intimidated and pushed into the illegal trade by those operating the racket.
He further stated that CCTV footage recovered from the hotel shows the frequent movement of several foreign women as well, raising serious suspicion of an international link to the network.
“Preliminary investigation suggests that the women were not only kept at the hotel but were also sent to other locations in the city based on customer demand,” the ACP said.
Several suspects on the run, big names under scanner
Police sources revealed that during the raid, at least four other suspects managed to flee the hotel. Teams have been deployed to trace and arrest them.
During interrogation, names of several prominent businessmen from Delhi-NCR have reportedly surfaced as regular clients of the racket. Investigators believe that the operation may be part of a much larger organised network, possibly extending beyond state and national boundaries.
The police have confirmed that a detailed probe is underway to identify all those involved and to uncover the financial and logistical chain behind the illegal operation.
The rescued women have been produced before the authorities and shifted to protective care facilities as per legal procedure.
Officials said strict action will be taken against all persons found connected with the racket.
