Ghaziabad, April 26, 2025 –
In a powerful display of unity and solidarity, schools across Ghaziabad, Modinagar, Muradnagar, and Sahibabad remained closed today following a call from the National Educational Institutions Organization. To honor the victims of the recent heinous attack in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir, a peaceful tribute march was organized, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of the people.
The march began from Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Park, Nav Yug Market, and proceeded through Chopla Temple to the Ramleela Ground at Ghantaghar. Thousands of school principals, management representatives, and teachers participated in the solemn walk, demonstrating the educational community’s deep commitment to national integrity and peace.
The march was flagged off by MLA Sanjeev Sharma, who remained present throughout, offering support and encouragement. Addressing the large gathering at the conclusion of the march, Sharma lauded the efforts of the educational community, calling the event “historic and praiseworthy,” and noting that it has been widely appreciated across society.

Pilot Rakesh Tyagi, National President of the organization and the convener of the program, expressed heartfelt gratitude to all participants. He emphasized that despite the busy academic schedules, the overwhelming participation sends a powerful message against negative forces, symbolizing a strong stand for unity and justice.
The atmosphere along the march route was emotionally charged and patriotic. Locals, including shopkeepers and bystanders, stepped out to witness the sea of educators and showered them with flowers as a mark of respect. Special appreciation was shown towards the women teachers, acknowledging their role not only in education but also in awakening societal consciousness.
