Residents of Raj Nagar Extension Commemorate Durga Puja 2023 with Fervor and Togetherness

Ghaziabad: On the third day of the Durga Puja festival, celebrated on October 17, 2023, residents of Raj Nagar Extension came together to worship and honor Goddess Chandraghanta with traditional rituals and fervor. According to Hindu scriptures, Goddess Chandraghanta is known for bringing peace and blessings to her devotees. Her name, which means “one who has a half-moon on her forehead,” is derived from the crescent moon-shaped ornament adorning her forehead. The Goddess is typically depicted riding a tiger, signifying courage and valor.

Participation in the Puja was widespread among the senior citizens and women from various societies in Raj Nagar Extension.

The fourth day of Durga Puja, dedicated to Goddess Kushmanda Devi, is scheduled for tomorrow.

Puja Schedule:

  • Morning Puja: 9:00 AM
  • Morning Aarti: 12:30 PM
  • Evening Aarti: 7:00 PM

The organizing committee for this auspicious event includes Rajiv Jha, Bindu Shekhar, Dayanand Jha, Girish Thakur, S.K. Shrivastav, Gopal Singh, Deepanshu Mittal, V.B. Rai, Mridul Mahesh, Jitendra Mishra, Sudhanshu Singh, Archana Jha, Mamta Mishra, Nidhi Vishwakarma, Kanchan, Aditi, Deepak, Sanjay Yadav, Sudhir Gangwar, Isheen Mishra, Atul Gupta, Dr. Pramod Hatwal, and other devoted individuals.

The entire Raj Nagar Extension community has come together to celebrate this annual festival, fostering unity and spirituality among its residents.
