Child labor is a persistent problem in many parts of the world, robbing children of their childhood and denying them opportunities for education and a better future. World Child Labour Day, observed annually on June 12th, serves as a reminder to take concerted action against child labor and to advocate for the rights and welfare of these vulnerable children.

During the campaign, the team conducted surprise inspections at various establishments suspected of employing child laborers. They were able to identify and rescue several children who were forced to work long hours under hazardous conditions. These children were engaged in tasks far beyond their age and were deprived of their right to education and a safe upbringing.

Upon rescuing the children, the team ensured their immediate safety and well-being. They were provided with medical assistance, food, and temporary shelter. The Child Welfare Committee will now work towards their rehabilitation and reintegrate them into a normal childhood, ensuring their access to education, healthcare, and a nurturing environment.

Abhishek Tyagi, expressing his concern over the prevalence of child labor, said, “Every child deserves a childhood filled with joy, learning, and growth. It is our responsibility as a society to protect our children from exploitation and provide them with the opportunities they deserve. Today’s campaign is a step towards that goal, but our work is not finished. We must continue our efforts to eradicate child labor entirely.”

The joint campaign received praise from various organizations and activists working for child rights. It served as a reminder to the community that child labor is a violation of children’s rights and a hindrance to their overall development.

On World Child Labour Day, let us reiterate our commitment to creating a world where every child is free from the shackles of labor and can enjoy their right to a happy and fulfilling childhood.
