A woman risked her own life to clean the window panes on the fourth floor of the Shipra Rivera Society in Indirapuram. The viral video from Ghaziabad clearly shows a woman outside the window ledge clinging to nothing and cleaning the window glasses. The video shows that the woman has no fear of injury whatsoever and has not bothered to take care of her safety. She is standing on a small ledge outside the window. This video of negligence is going viral. In the video, the woman is seen cleaning the window from outside while standing on the railing of the balcony.
In this case, the Residents Welfare Association (RWA) of the society has issued a notice and appealed to the people not to be negligent in this manner. The woman seen in the video has recently shifted to A-block of Shipra Riviera Society on rent. At around 2 pm on Sunday afternoon, the woman first cleaned the glass windows in the balcony from inside. After this, the woman stood on the thin railing of the balcony and started cleaning the window glass from outside. Seeing this the people of other flats were shocked. Shruti Singh, who lives in the opposite flat, gave voice to the woman but the woman could not be heard. Shruti felt that if she would give loud voice and get the attention of the lady If you stray, an accident can happen. People also made a video of this negligence of the woman.
Could have been a big accident:
The frame of the glass window in the balcony is made of aluminum. This frame is nailed to the walls. The woman seen in the video is seen cleaning with one hand while standing on the railing. With the other hand, the window is supported, which could have been uprooted. However, a major accident was averted.
RWA issued notice:
Shishir Kanungo, RWA President of Shipra Riviera Society, says that the notice has been issued asking people not to do such negligence. Thankfully there was no accident. Soon after meeting the woman too, she will be asked not to do such negligence in future.
The woman in the video was identified as Shahida, who lives in the apartment with her husband Mohammad Salim. The video was shot by Shruti Thakur who lives in the opposite block. When inquired about the viral video, the lady acknowledged that it was indeed her clip. Speaking about it she said that they have recently moved into the apartment. As the windows were quite dirty with dust hence, she decided to take this step. She mentioned that she was clinging to a safety net (not visible in the viral video) and was holding the pane as well from the outside.
