Railway’s Is Going To Take A Big Step To Promote Employment, ‘One Station, One Product’ Program Will Start Soon

New Delhi (NewsReach) : The government will soon launch the ‘One Station, One Product’ program as a pilot project with the objective of promoting traditional crafts, small scale industries and employment generation covering various dimensions of India’s diversity. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav gave this information in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday. Railway Minister said that if we look at the diversity of India, then from north to south and east to west, there are different special products, different food and cultural heritage everywhere.

Responding to ‘Discussion on Demands for Grants under the control of Ministry of Railways for the year 2022-23’ in Lok Sabha, he said that in such a situation, ‘One Station, One Product’ has been proposed in the budget under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Under this, specific products from across the country will be associated with the station.

Vaishnav said examples include Madhubani paintings from Bihar, wooden toys from Andhra Pradesh, Tanti handloom sarees from Bengal, Gamchas from Assam, Channa Pattan from Bangalore, sarees from Chennai and bamboo products from Nagpur. He said that apart from this, special food and costumes would also be added to it. The Railway Minister said, “Soon the ‘One Station, One Product’ program will be launched under the pilot project.
