Preparations Underway at Shalimar Garden Double Tank Temporary Chhath Ghat, Police Ensure Safety for Festivities

Ghaziabad : In anticipation of the upcoming Chhath Mahaparv celebrations, dedicated preparations have begun at the temporary Chhath Ghat near Shalimar Garden Double Tank. Community members and volunteers gathered to organize the service arrangements, ensuring that all necessary provisions are in place for devotees who will be observing the festival from November 6th to the morning of November 8th.

In a show of support, Station House Officer (SHO) Narendra Kumar from Shalimar Garden Police Station visited the site to oversee safety arrangements and address the concerns of festival organizers and devotees. During the inspection, Ashok Sah, the head of the organizing committee, briefed the SHO on the festival’s plans, outlining the schedule and safety needs. SHO Narendra Kumar reassured the attendees, especially the women observing Chhath, promising comprehensive security and on-ground support throughout the night to ensure a smooth and peaceful celebration.

Local representatives, including councilor Rajiv Bhati, former Deputy Mayor Sardar Singh Bhati, and councilors Kalicharan Pehalwan and Ravi Bhati, actively participated in the preparations. Their commitment was well-appreciated by the community, highlighting the unity and cooperative spirit surrounding this major festival.

Many volunteers and community members, including Kailash Yadav and committee members Deepak Kumar, Akhilesh Singh, Vishal Pandey, Gautam Kumar, Alok Jha, Navneet Srivastava, Prabhat Kumar, and others, contributed their time and effort to ensure that devotees have a safe and sacred environment for worship. Women volunteers, including Gayatri Singh, Rani Singh, Usha Pandey, Priyanka Singh, Bina Gupta, Leela Devi, Babita Devi, and Seema Singh, played a crucial role in arranging the amenities.

With community leaders and local police working together, residents expressed confidence that this year’s Chhath Mahaparv will be celebrated with harmony, safety, and devotion.
