PM Modi Flags Off Uttarakhand’s First Vande Bharat Express, Uniting Dehradun and Delhi in Unprecedented Speed and Style

Modinagar : In a historic moment, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today virtually flagged off Uttarakhand’s first-ever semi-high-speed Vande Bharat Express, creating a new era of connectivity between Dehradun and the vibrant capital city, New Delhi. This magnificent train, the sixth addition to the prestigious Vande Bharat fleet, now links Delhi with Ajmer, Varanasi, Katra, Bhopal, Amb Andaura and the serene landscapes of Uttarakhand.

Amidst the excitement and anticipation, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw graced the Dehradun railway station, radiating a sense of pride and joy. The commencement of this much-awaited Vande Bharat Express in Uttarakhand marks a significant milestone for the state and its people.

The train reached Modi Nagar Railway Station, where the people present warmly welcomed the Vande Bharat Express. A program was also organized by the railway authorities at the railway station. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav was present on the train, and he came out of the compartment with enthusiasm, holding an Indian flag, and accepted the greetings of the people, chanting “Jai Bharat Mata” (Victory to Mother India).

As the 18th Vande Bharat Express in the country, this exceptional train embarks on its inaugural journey from Dehradun, whisking passengers away to Delhi’s bustling Anand Vihar terminal. Embellished with world-class amenities, the train promises a remarkable travel experience like never before. Crafted with indigenous expertise, this marvel of engineering boasts advanced safety features, including the revolutionary Kavach technology, ensuring a secure and comfortable journey for all aboard.

Witnessing a paradigm shift in travel, the Delhi-Dehradun Vande Bharat Express slashes the travel time to an astonishing four hours and thirty minutes, redefining the concept of speed and efficiency. Starting from 29th May, this train will operate throughout the week, except on Wednesdays, offering a seamless connection between the picturesque landscapes of Uttarakhand and the pulsating heart of the nation.

For those seeking unparalleled comfort and luxury, the AC chair car tickets are priced at an affordable Rs1,065, while the executive chair car offers a premium experience at ₹1,890.
