Notorious Fugitive Vinay Tyagi Arrested by Brahmpuri Police
Meerut, Uttar Pradesh – In a significant breakthrough, the Brahmpuri police, in collaboration with the Special Operations Group (SOG), apprehended notorious criminal Vinay Tyagi, alias Tinku, on Tuesday. Tyagi, who had fled to Dubai to evade law enforcement, was arrested upon his return to India. He was nabbed in Delhi, where he had been hiding in a rented flat.
Tyagi, a prominent member of the infamous Badan Singh Baddo and Bhupendra Bafar gangs, has a long criminal history. With 58 cases of murder, kidnapping, and robbery registered against him, he has been a key target for the police. The Meerut police had announced a reward of ₹50,000 for information leading to his capture.
Escape and Return: According to the police, Vinay Tyagi fled India for Dubai amidst ongoing gang disputes and legal troubles. Despite his attempt to escape justice, the police maintained surveillance and continued their search. Tyagi’s return to India triggered immediate police action, leading to his swift capture.
Police Statement: Superintendent of Police (Urban) provided insights into the arrest, stating, “Vinay Tyagi, a notorious criminal wanted in numerous heinous crimes, was apprehended in Delhi. He was living in a rented flat and attempting to stay under the radar. Our team has been diligently tracking his movements, and his arrest marks a significant victory in our ongoing efforts to curb organized crime.”
Gang Affiliations: Tyagi’s criminal activities were not limited to his solo endeavors. He was closely associated with the Badan Singh Baddo and Bhupendra Bafar gangs, both notorious for their involvement in organized crime. His capture is expected to provide valuable intelligence on these criminal networks and their operations.
Criminal Record: Vinay Tyagi’s criminal record is extensive. One of the most grievous incidents attributed to him occurred in 2015, when he allegedly kidnapped and murdered two individuals. This case, among others, kept him on the police radar and eventually led to the issuance of the reward for his capture.
Future Proceedings: The police have indicated that Tyagi will be presented before the court and subsequently incarcerated. His arrest is expected to aid ongoing investigations and potentially lead to further arrests within the criminal network.
