New Year Tragedy in Meerut: Sports Trader Gunned Down Outside Shop, Assailants at Large
Meerut: In a shocking incident on the first day of the new year, an unidentified assailant opened fire, fatally shooting Sunil Sharma, a prominent sports trader in Meerut. The assailants, having committed the crime, managed to flee the scene. Following the incident, concerned citizens rushed Sunil Sharma to the hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead. It was on the first day of the new year that Sunil Sharma, a sports trader, was standing outside his shop on the Delhi-Dehradun Highway’s M.I.T. College Market with some other individuals. Suddenly, from a flyover above, an unknown sharpshooter fired a shot that struck Sunil Sharma. By the time people realized what had happened, the assailants had fled from the flyover. Amid the chaos, bystanders admitted the injured trader to Subharti Medical College, where doctors declared him dead.
Providing further details, SP Rural Kamlesh Bahadur stated that Sunil Sharma was a sports trader and had been standing outside his shop in the sunlight. Suddenly, he was hit by a bullet. Amid the confusion, people at the scene rushed Sunil to Subharti Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead. The police are actively investigating the incident and examining CCTV footage to gather more information. The motive and the number of attackers remain unknown as the police continue their efforts to piece together the events leading to this tragic incident.
