NCC Cadets Organize Unity Run in Commemoration of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s Birth Anniversary

Ghaziabad: In honor of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s birth anniversary, celebrated as National Unity Day, the Headquarters of 37 NC C Battalion, Ghaziabad, organized a Unity Run. The event, led by Colonel Samir Choudhary, the Commanding Officer, and Colonel Umesh Marwah, the Administrative Officer, aimed to inspire national unity and communal harmony among citizens.

This Unity Run saw participation from 250 NC C cadets. Its primary objective was to encourage citizens to come together, regardless of their differences, and foster unity and camaraderie. Participants took an oath to uphold the values of unity and integrity, much like Sardar Patel, who played a vital role in the unification of India’s princely states after gaining independence.

Several dignitaries attended the event, including Subedar Major Nirmal Singh, Subedar Chandimal, Lance Naik Puran Singh, Havildar Avneet Singh, and Havildar Harjinder Singh, along with various civil staff.

National Unity Day is celebrated on Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s birth anniversary to commemorate his relentless efforts in uniting India and to promote the idea of “Unity in Diversity.” This event serves as a reminder of the importance of unity, peace, and integrity in the nation. The Unity Run organized by the NC C Battalion adds to the celebrations of National Unity Day, emphasizing the values of oneness and solidarity.
