National Unity Day Celebrated on Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s Birth Anniversary

Meerut: Today, on October 31, 2023, the nation came together to commemorate the birth anniversary of the “Iron Man of India,” Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, as National Unity Day. On this occasion, a solemn oath of national unity was administered by the Senior Superintendent of Police of Meerut at the Police Lines, Meerut.

Several distinguished police officers, including the Traffic Superintendent, the Subdivisional Officer of Brahmpuri/Lines, and various other police personnel and staff, were present at the event to pledge their commitment to national unity.

National Unity Day is observed to honor the contributions of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, who played a significant role in the unification of India after gaining independence from British rule. His relentless efforts to integrate the princely states into a single nation are celebrated to promote a sense of unity and patriotism among citizens.
