Murder Mystery Unfolds in Tronica City: Woman Killed by Acquaintance, Accused Arrested

Ghaziabad, April 26, 2025 —
A chilling murder case has come to light in Tronica City, where a 40-year-old woman, identified as Krishna Devi, was found dead in a rented house in the Elaichipur area. The grim discovery was made after Dial-112 received an emergency call on April 24, prompting the Tronica City Police to rush to the scene.
Initial investigations revealed that the house was rented by a man named Faizul, also known as Imran, who was frequently visited by the deceased. Upon further inquiry and post-mortem procedures, Krishna Devi was identified by her son, Bhupendra Singh, who had been searching for his missing mother since April 22.
According to the family’s complaint, Imran, described as a man of questionable character, had been pressuring Krishna Devi to accept him as her husband against her will. Disturbingly, he had also allegedly shown inappropriate interest in her underage daughter. Faced with Krishna Devi’s firm rejection and her threat to approach the police, Imran allegedly strangled her with her scarf around 1:00 PM on April 22. He then locked the house from the outside and fled to Haridwar.
Acting swiftly, Tronica City Police registered a case and formed multiple teams to apprehend the accused. Imran was successfully tracked down and arrested. During interrogation, he confessed to the crime, citing anger and fear of exposure as his motives.

Imran, aged 38, a resident of Sarla Vihar near Ek Minar Masjid, Ankur Vihar, Ghaziabad, has a history of troubled relationships, including a divorce seven years ago. At the time of the crime, he worked in wall painting and putty jobs and admitted to substance abuse.
A murder case under relevant sections has been registered against him at Tronica City Police Station. Authorities are currently investigating whether Imran has any prior criminal record beyond this incident.
The swift action of the Tronica City Police has brought some measure of closure to the bereaved family, but the incident has sent shockwaves through the community, raising concerns about the safety and well-being of women, especially those working in vulnerable conditions.
