Morning Fire Engulfs Indirapuram Flat; Family Narrowly Escapes

Ghaziabad: A devastating fire broke out in a flat in Indirapuram during the early hours of Friday, reducing belongings to ashes but sparing the lives of six family members. The incident occurred at Aditya Mega City Society, located in Abhay Khand-1, reportedly due to a short circuit.
The blaze ignited in a rented sixth-floor flat occupied by Anubhav Swaroop and his family. The fire erupted while the family of six was inside, causing panic and loud cries for help. Residents of the society, along with security guards and locals, rushed to assist and attempted to douse the flames.

Anubhav Swaroop immediately informed the fire department. Chief Fire Officer (CFO) Rahul Pal arrived at the scene with a team and four fire tenders. The intensity of the fire forced the evacuation of nearby flats. After a strenuous 45-minute operation, firefighters managed to bring the situation under control. However, by then, the entire household had been destroyed.
Miraculously, all six family members escaped unharmed. CFO Rahul Pal stated that preliminary investigations suggest a short circuit as the probable cause. An assessment of the damages is still underway.
This incident serves as a stark reminder of fire safety measures, particularly in high-rise buildings, urging residents to remain vigilant and ensure electrical safety compliance.
