Meerut police arrests Two for selling fake Nike and Adidas merchandise

Meerut: On Thursday few shops were raided in Lalkurti and Rajban Bazaar Market on information that fake shoes were being sold in the name of branded companies Adidas and Nike. The company officials were receiving information about fake shoes being sold. The company’s employees along with their legal team arrived as customers and on confirmation of the same approached SSP Meerut. The complainant claimed that the company protects the copyrights and trademark of international brands in India, according to the police.

At present, the police have registered a case and started investigation into the matter. The police raided the shops located on Lalkurti and Rajban Bazaar and seized the goods. The police recovered shoes with Nike and Adidas branding worth lacs.
