Major Fire Breaks Out at Battery Factory in Ghaziabad’s Mohan Nagar; No Casualties Reported

Ghaziabad, April 27, 2025 – A major fire broke out on Sunday evening at a battery manufacturing unit in the Sunrise Industrial Area, Site 2, Mohan Nagar, causing widespread panic but fortunately resulting in no casualties.
The incident was first reported at 5:35 PM when caller Vijay Sharma informed emergency services about the blaze at Hexa Call Technologies, located at 12/40 Sunrise Industries. Acting swiftly, the fire officer in charge, along with a fire tender, rushed to the scene. On arrival, they found the fire had engulfed the battery factory and immediately escalated the situation to the Chief Fire Officer (CFO).
Additional fire tenders from Kotwali and Vaishali fire stations were requested and soon joined the firefighting efforts. As firefighters battled the intense flames, a sudden blast occurred when an LPG cylinder inside the factory exploded, raising fears of the fire spreading to adjacent units.
Thanks to the quick thinking and tireless efforts of the fire teams, the spread of the blaze was contained. The teams successfully protected nearby factories and safely secured multiple LPG and oxygen cylinders, along with stored batteries that could have worsened the situation.
After hours of intense firefighting, the flames were fully doused. A detailed site inspection was conducted, where factory owners Rajesh Sharma and Pankaj Kumar were present. Fortunately, no loss of life or injuries were reported, a rare outcome given the severity of the situation.

Following the completion of operations, the fire service units returned to Sahibabad Fire Station. Authorities have initiated further inspections to assess the damage and ensure fire safety compliance across nearby industrial units.
