Locals rescue car driver after his running car fell into drain due to waterlogging on road

Wrote to municipal authorities about broken wall (beside drain), that has to be reconstructed, but action only on paper & not in reality

Meerut: A major accident happened in Meerut on Sunday. Here a car fell in the drain in front of Subhash Nagar in the drain passing through Nanak Chandra Inter College. However, the local people reached on time and somehow the life of the car rider was saved. It was told that the drains were overflooded due to rain, in such a situation the car slipped from the road and fell into the drain. Thankfully the driver was rescued safely.

According to the information, during the heavy rain at around 1 pm today, Akash, the son of the city resident, the confectioner, was passing through the road along with the drain. During this, due to heavy rains the drain was overflowing, and the car got stuck in the drain.

During the accident, some people were sitting in a house in front, they made the noise of the car drowning in the drain. Councilor Pawan Chaudhary and BJP leader Uttam Saini also reached the spot on the information of the car sinking.

All the people tried to call the municipal officials by phone but no one reached the spot for one and a half hours. The people somehow pulled the young man out of the car. After this, the JCB of the Municipal Corporation reached the spot at around 2:30, and the car was also pulled out of the drain.
