Law Student Fatally Shot in Meerut Amidst Ongoing Rivalry
Meerut: Tragedy struck on Thursday as Mohit Singh, a 25-year-old law student, fell victim to a point-blank shooting in Bhamori village, within the jurisdiction of Sardhana police station. Mohit was en route to his agricultural field in the village, riding a bike alongside his friend, Ajay.
Local residents rushed Mohit Singh to a nearby primary medical facility, but despite their efforts, he succumbed to his injuries.
Anil Singh, the victim’s father, revealed to the police that there had been a heated argument with certain villagers earlier, stemming from a tractor parking dispute.

Ajay, who was with the victim during the incident and is an eyewitness, shared his account. He stated that all three assailants seemed to be aware of their route, as they were lying in wait with loaded weapons. Following the crime, the accused fled the scene.
In addition to the ongoing feud, the police are investigating other possible motives behind this crime.

CO Sardhana, Shiv Pratap Singh, stated, “No police complaint has been filed at this time. The body has been sent for a post-mortem examination, and we are awaiting the results. Further action will be taken upon receiving an official complaint.”
