Kithor Police Raids Illegal Arms Factory, Arrests Two Suspects
Meerut: In a late-night operation, the senior police officials of Meerut directed the Kithor Police Station to conduct a raid on an illegal arms factory in the outskirts of the town. The police officials, under the command of the SP Rural Meerut and the CO Kithor, responded quickly and caught two suspects red-handed manufacturing illegal guns in the fields of Eank Village in the Ishaqpur Mod area.
The suspects, identified as Shakil, son of Shamin and Bhoore, son of Fakeera, both residents of Radhna Village in Kithor, were arrested on the spot. Upon searching the vicinity, the police officials seized a total of eleven weapons, including five 315 bore illegal firearms, four 12 bore illegal firearms, and two live cartridges of each. The officers also recovered the necessary manufacturing machinery, tools and equipment used for building illegal firearms.
According to the report, Shakil has a history of multiple criminal cases, including an Arms Act registered against him at Kithor Police Station. Similarly, Bhoore has been involved in cases for Arms Act violations, too. The Kithor Police have registered their arrest under section 3/5/25 of the Arms Act.
Meerut Police officials praised the swift action taken by the Kithor Police in the successful completion of the operation. The arrested suspects are now preparing to be produced in front of the court. They will be tried under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) for the illegal possession, transport, and manufacture of firearms.
The raid team included Kithor Police officers Satyendra Kumar, Manoj Kumar, Durgesh Kumar, Omveer Singh, Dharmendra Hooda, and Bijendra Kumar.
