IPL auction 2022: Know how much money was rained on Meerut players in IPL auction

In the Indian Premier League (IPL) auction, some cricketers from Meerut have received more money than last year, while the prices of some players have come down. Left spinner Saurabh Kumar, who was a part of IPL last year, has not got any team in the second days bid as well.

Shivam Mavi was the most expensive player

In the first days bid for IPL season 2022, Shivam Mavi was the most expensive player from Meerut. Which has been bought for twice the amount from last year. Kartik Tyagi, a resident of Hapur, has also sold expensive since last year. The price of Bhuvneshwar Kumar has increased by 20 lakhs as compared to last year.

Priyam Gargs biggest drop in price

The biggest fall has happened in the price of batsman Priyam Garg. In the last IPL, Priyam was a player of one crore 90 lakh rupees. Which this time has been bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs 20 lakh at the base price. In the second days auction on Sunday, Karn Sharma was bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore for a base price of Rs 50 lakh. Whereas in IPL last year, Karn Sharma has been a player worth four and a half crores.

They havent found buyers yet

In the last IPL, left spinner Saurabh Kumar was bought by Punjab Kings XI for Rs 20 lakh. Saurabh remained unsold in the second days bid. Apart from this, the batsmen involved for the first time in the race of IPL, Sameer Rizvi, Sandeep Tomar were also unsold.

Performance in domestic match reduced prices

The performance of the players in the last IPL only increases their sentiments. Priyam Garg got a lot of chances in IPL, but his performance was not good. In the year 2021 IPL, Priyam remained the player of Sunrisers only. His highest runs in the entire IPL season were 29. Coach Vipin Vats also says that Priyam and Karn performance in the home match was not good. IPL franchises see these things, they bid based on that. Coach Tanquib says that Karn Sharma used to play from Chennai earlier. In which he did not get a chance to play, due to this his performance did not come to the fore. The players whose prices have increased, they did very well in the last IPL.
