Dehligate area witnessed the arrest of four individuals involved in the theft of 19 iPhone parcels valued at approximately one crore rupees. This revelation unraveled a well-orchestrated network responsible for looting and selling mobile devices not only within the country but also internationally.

The Lisadi Gate Police, in collaboration with the jurisdictional officer, apprehended four culprits and recovered a total of 88 mobile phones, iPads, and an unregistered scooter, collectively valued at around one crore rupees.

It was disclosed that these criminals were part of an organized gang, with their leader identified as Mahfooz, a former active member of the Sharad Goswami gang. Mahfooz, the mastermind, has a history of operating such networks, and the police believe this bust will significantly impact the distribution of stolen mobiles both domestically and internationally.

The Senior Police Superintendent of Meerut rewarded the team responsible for the arrests with a cash prize of Rs. 25,000, acknowledging their exceptional efforts in curbing transnational mobile theft.
