Popular Hindustani classical and semi classical singer Nilanjan Mitra will be seen as one of the judges and he will be seen giving all the participants a platform to exhibit their talent and create a name of their own in the world of music. Introducing audiences to some truly exceptional talent and gave a chance to all to sing for India on this Independence day.
Before the online virtual show on August 15, 2022 starts, Indianthem has kickstarted a country-wide hunt through online auditions. Nilanjan Mitra is a known name in the music circles today. A trained Hindustani classical and semi classical singer, he started his music journey under the tutelage of his parents Biplob and Anuradha Mitra, who are singers of repute. Further, he trained under Dr. Pratyusha Choudhury, Late Anurupa Bagchi, Prof D.N. Singh and Pandit Ajoy Chakraborty. He believes that learning never ends and even today, continues to learn from Progga Banerjee and Arup Banerjee.
Nilanjan received his advance training in music as a Research Scholar at the Sangeet Research Academy, Kolkata under Pt. Ajoy Chakraborty an Internationally acclaimed artist of Indian Classical music. Nilanjan loves to perform Indian Classical music and Semiclassical songs along with bhajans.
Nilanjan Mitra has been bestowed with the title ‘Pride of Jharkhand’ as well as won several prestigious awards, with the latest being ‘Jadubhatta Samman’ at West Bengal Music Awards in 2020.
