Inauguration of Olympic-Size Swimming Pool at NDRF 8th Battalion Campus in Ghaziabad

Ghaziabad: The foundation stone for an Olympic-size swimming pool was laid at the NDRF 8th Battalion campus in Ghaziabad. The ceremony was conducted by Dr. Anupam Gautam, President of NWWA 8th Battalion NDRF.

Commandant Praveen Kumar Tiwari highlighted the primary objective of constructing the swimming pool: to enhance the efficiency and skill set of the rescuers through regular training. The pool will also serve as a valuable resource for rescuers preparing for various national-level competitions.

The event was attended by Neeraj Kumar Thakur, Second-in-Command of the battalion, along with other battalion officers. Additionally, Chandramouli Tiwari, Chief Engineer of the PWD, and other distinguished members of the department were present.

The new facility marks a significant step towards improving the operational readiness and competitive edge of NDRF personnel, reflecting the commitment to their continuous development and excellence.
