Impromptu Elocution Competition at D.A.V. Public School Showcases Student Brilliance; Terra House Emerges Victorious

Ghaziabad, April 28, 2025 – D.A.V. Public School, Pratap Vihar, played host to a thought-provoking and dynamic Inter-House Impromptu Elocution Competition, bringing together students from classes 7 to 12 in a spirited display of confidence, intellect, and articulation. The event saw Terra House clinch the top spot, outperforming fellow contenders Amber, Aqua, and Ether Houses.

Held under the meticulous guidance of Principal Dr. Sinni Malhotra, the competition was a celebration of spontaneous thinking and public speaking. Students were given socially relevant and future-oriented topics that encouraged them to reflect deeply on issues related to personal growth, family, society, and nationhood.

More than 70 students participated enthusiastically, speaking extempore with remarkable fluency and conviction. The competition provided a platform for young minds to express themselves on-stage, an experience that was both transformative and empowering. The confidence with which each participant spoke left both the audience and judges captivated.

House in-charges Nancy (Terra), Shweta Narula (Amber), Rashmi Arora (Aqua), and Noor Saraswat (Ether) coordinated the event and ensured its seamless execution. Dr. Malhotra praised the effort and involvement of all participants and emphasized how such initiatives go a long way in grooming students for real-life challenges.

“The topics were carefully curated to align with values that connect students with themselves and the world around them,” Dr. Malhotra remarked. “We want to shape not just good speakers but socially conscious citizens.”

The competition concluded with the announcement of winners and a prize distribution ceremony. Students from the school’s Reporter Club added a special touch by engaging with participants post-event, capturing their reflections and reactions.

The event was hailed as a resounding success, and the school administration extended warm congratulations to all students and teachers who contributed to its success.
