Ghaziabad: In a press conference held at IMA West Building in Vasundhara, Ghaziabad, senior surgeon and professor Dr. Brijpal Tyagi joined other officials to voice his support for Dr. Pallav Vajpayee amid the ongoing controversy.
Dr. Brijpal S Tyagi, a distinguished surgeon in the Delhi NCR region, holding degrees in LLB and LL.M, addressed the media regarding the injuries sustained by Dr. Pallav Vajpayee. Describing the injuries to the ear and face as grievous, Dr. Tyagi highlighted the legal provisions for penalties ranging from three months to three years for such injuries.
Expressing solidarity with Dr. Pallav Vajpayee, Dr. Tyagi stated, “Whatever decision is taken by the IMA in Dr. Pallav Vajpayee’s case will have our full support. Any form of violence against a medical professional is certain to face opposition from the entire nation and society.”
The press conference saw the participation of IMA (Indian Medical Association) officials, including presidents and secretaries from various sectors such as Ghaziabad, Noida, Modinagar, and Noida Extension Medical Associations.
The event served as a platform for medical professionals to unite in support of Dr. Pallav Vajpayee and to condemn any form of violence against doctors. The IMA officials emphasized the need for a comprehensive and united response from the medical community to address such incidents and protect the safety of healthcare practitioners.
