Hundreds of Neem and Peepal Trees Planted in Raj Nagar Extension Mini Forest Initiative

Ghaziabad: In a dedicated effort to enhance air quality and beautify the area, residents of Raj Nagar Extension have embarked on developing mini forests using the Miyawaki method. This initiative aims to create green, oxygen-rich spaces in response to the increasing population and the need for a cleaner environment.

The first Miyawaki mini forest in Raj Nagar Extension, located near the Peepaleshwar Temple adjacent to SCC Heights Society, saw the commencement of a long-term tree plantation project today at 6 AM, coinciding with the first monsoon rain. The planting activities will continue every Sunday.

Guided by the decades of experience from the organization “Ek Ped Ek Parivar,” which has successfully planted thousands of trees, this initiative is making significant strides in environmental conservation.

Virendra Kumar Daksh of the “Save Environment Save Life Group” has been instrumental in maintaining the site, overseeing the plantation, and organizing periodic activities.

In a collective effort to ensure a clean and healthy environment for future generations, residents from various societies in Raj Nagar Extension have come together to contribute their time, effort, and resources. Today’s event saw the enthusiastic participation of dozens of environmental enthusiasts who planted around 100 neem and 50 peepal trees, known for their medicinal properties and high oxygen output.

Notable participants in today’s plantation drive included Rajendra Janauti, Ajay Kakkar, Bhupendra Nath, Nidhi Vishwakarma, Ravi Jain, Vinay Singh, Chandra Prakash Arya, Sanjeev Kumar, Sanjay Katiyar, Pawan, Nimish Garg, Ashok Chaudhary, Anand Veer, Shashi Bhushan Prasad, and Sandhya.

Next week, the group plans to plant various Indian species of fruit and flowering trees, further diversifying the green cover and enhancing the ecological balance of the area as told to Local Post by Deepanshu Mittal, Event Coordinator.
