Special vigil is being taken in Meerut division and zone regarding Holi and Shab-e-Raat. District administration took out a flag march across the city ahead of Holi and Shab-e-Barat. They said the purpose of the flag march was to instill public confidence in the law and order machinery of the district administration and at the same time issue warning to trouble-mongers and anti-social elements.
This foot march, which started from Begumpul, reached the intersections through various major roads of the metropolis. During this, ADG, IG and SSP greeted everyone on the occasion of Holi and Shab-e-Barat and appealed to celebrate the festival in a peaceful manner. SSP Prabhakar Chaudhary said that everyone should celebrate their festival peacefully. Do not do any such thing that will get caught in the clutches of the law. The feeling of security has strengthened among the people due to the foot march of the police. ADG Rajiv Sabharwal said that the objective of this foot march is to create a sense of security among the people. IG Praveen Kumar said that on the occasion of the festival, this foot march has to be taken out to assure the people that the police is fully alert and alert. In view of the festival, the district police have intensified vigil.
Instructions have been given for intensive patrolling in all police stations and Kotwali areas. Due to this, the police and paramilitary forces conducted flag marches in the city and rural areas and appealed to the people for peace and brotherhood. Tomorrow both Holi and Shab-e-Barat will be celebrated on the same day and together. In order to maintain peace and harmony during the festival, instructions have been given for police flag marches in all the districts of the state under the direction of DGP UP. During the foot march in Meerut, the officials appealed to the people to celebrate the festival with brotherhood. Along with this, it was told that in any case, harmony will not be allowed to be disturbed. If anyone tries to disturb the harmony, the police will deal with them strictly.
