Heroic Traffic Cop Rescues Man from Death Trap in Ghaziabad Drain

Ghaziabad: In a commendable act of bravery and humanity, a traffic police constable rescued a man who had fallen into a drain and rushed him to the hospital.

The incident occurred near Saajan Mod in Ghaziabad, where Head Constable Sumit Kumar (509) was on duty. A passerby informed Constable Sumit about a person who had fallen into a nearby drain. Without hesitation, Constable Sumit, along with a few others, entered the drain to rescue the individual.

The man, whose condition had worsened due to the fall, was successfully extracted from the drain. Constable Sumit immediately called for an ambulance (108), and the injured man was safely transported to the hospital.

The Circle Officer of Traffic praised Head Constable Sumit Kumar for his quick and selfless action. The department has also recommended him for a reward in recognition of his heroism.
